Series of bombings leave 11 dead in Iraq

Baghdad (CNN) — At least 11 people were killed and 70 others wounded when bombs struck several cities south of Baghdad on Sunday, authorities said.
Five car bombs exploded in Mahawil, Mahmoudiya, Kut, Basra and Aziziya.
Two roadside bombs exploded in busy areas in Nasriya and Basra. The latter’s car bomb was followed by a roadside bomb.
Most of the attacks occurred in Shiite areas.
